Amy Driver is a forensic scientist who provides consulting and expert witness services for criminal and civil litigation as both a government/plaintiff and defense witness. She is a court-qualified expert in firearms analysis, shooting scene reconstruction, crime scene reconstruction, narcotics, and toxicology.
Throughout her career with LAPD and as an independent consultant Amy has investigated hundreds of Officer Involved Shootings (including friendly-fire) as well as non-police-related shootings, homicides, rapes, and other major assault crimes.
Amy provides training on firearms examination, crime scene reconstruction, shooting reconstruction, and court room testimony. Amy also provides clear, understandable education and consultation to criminal justice agencies, unions, local governments, and other groups regarding the federal legislative process to encourage them to become engaged in the processes that affect them.
Amy started BulletPath.com to as a forum on criminal justice issues to encourage open communication about the criminal justice system and the legislative process.
Amy holds bachelor of science degrees in chemistry and biochemistry from the College of Charleston, a master of science degree in toxicology with an emphasis in neurotoxicology from the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. She is a member of the Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE).
